A fish has the same body temperature as the water in which it swims. Too many Christians are like fish, they have no fire of the spirit than the cold, unbelieving world around them. God sends us out with live coals from the altar, as witnesses of the resurrection, to testify that we have met the God of Pentecost! I’ve heard sermons that were like lectures on embalming the dead. Does this talk reveal a living Jesus? Neither Jesus, Peter, nor Paul left congregations sitting like marble statues in a museum.
If your ” Christian experience” does not move you, do you think it moves God? Do you think it moves the world toward Jesus?
The fire of the Holy Spirit is real! It must flow through us like blood through veins. How else will the Precious blood of Jesus get to the dying body? Get on fire and watch as all people like to watch something burn.
Habitation of God through His Spirit
Anyone who confesses (acknowledges, owns) that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides (lives, makes His home) in him and he [abides, lives, makes his home] in God.
(1Jn 4:15 AMP)
Everyone who confesses that Jesus is God’s Son participates continuously in an intimate relationship with God.
(1Jn 4:15 MSG)
So, friends, we can now–without hesitation–walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body.
(Heb 10:19 MSG)
He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us).
(Heb 9:12 AMP)
Welcome has a whole NEW meaning
Unlike any gift you have seen in your life. Like nothing you have been given or received. New car in the drive way with a red bow does not compare.
God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we’re in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ.
(Rom 3:24 MSG)
Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son.
(Eph 1:5-6 MSG)
You have received the spirit, the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to you] that you might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on you by God. (1 Corinthians 2:12 AMP)
Yet grace (God’s unmerited favor) was given to you individually [not indiscriminately, but in different ways] in proportion to the measure of Christ’s [rich and bounteous] gift. (Ephesians 4:7 AMP)
grace, gift, generocity, grounded in love, guarantee
Matt 15:31, ” insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, AND THE BLIND TO SEE: and they glorified the God of Israel.”
This man was working on a roof a number of years ago, when suddenly he found himself falling. Not able to catch himself, he fell to the ground from a few stories up. When he landed, he had landed on his head. He was rushed to the emergency room where they determined he had fractured his skull. His brain was swelling rapidly and required immediate attention. When they had finished, they had managed to save his life, but he was in a deep coma and not able to breath on his own. His mother continued to pray as the swelling increased. The reports were not good. The Doctors where whispering in the corner. It was only a matter of time until she would have to make some hard choices about her son. Live on machines, or….. She continued to pray. She cried out to God to save her son. Soon, things began to turn, swelling went down, treatments were working and one day he awakens. Soon he is back on his feet, all patched up, but, as a side effect to the trauma, he is blind.
Eventually he sets out on his new life. He secures a job that allows him to work with his condition. He continues on, somewhat accepting that this is how its going to be, just happy to be alive. Then one day, a friend tells him of some meeting being held at the Holiday Inn, in his town. He is told that God can and will heal him. This friend offers to come pick him up and bring him to these meetings, fully believing that God will touch him. This photo was taken as I prayed for this man that night. As you can see, we were both feeling the compassion of God being poured out. That night he began to see light again. It wasn’t but a few days later, this man regained his eyesight again! Do not ever forget the God factor. You place that into ANY situation and its a game changer! Also, do not ever hesitate to offer hope to someone. Had it not been for the compassion of a friend, this man would not had been there that night to meet up with that compassionate God!
Prov. 22:6, ” Train up a child in the way that he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
In the struggle to believe in the healing power of God, I think there is a little something that we are missing. Those that believe that God does not heal, punishes with sickness or makes us sick to suffer with Christ and better relate have forgotten about those little ones behind us.
You are training up your child for a future of sickness and diseases! I don’t think anyone would purposely teach their child how to have cancer, pain, suffering and diseases. BUT that’s exactly what you are doing when you do not 2nd Tim. 2:15,” Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
You’ve got to study it out to see that God does heal. You’ve got to get in the word of God and see that there are NO scriptures that back up the claim that God makes people sick, punishes with diseases etc…. NONE! Now you could sit there and say that it does say it, but where? Hmm? Chapter and verse! If the scripture above says to rightly divide the word of truth, then that means it can be wrongly divided! This is why you, YOU must get in the word and find it yourself. Stop drinking the kook-aid! Then we can leave a future of health to our children, and our children’s, children!
Forgiven & Free
Isn’t it the same thing?
And having been set free from sin, you have become the servants of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in thought, purpose, and action).
(Rom 6:18 AMP)
But thank God you’ve started listening to a new master, one whose commands set you free to live openly in his freedom! I’m using this freedom language because it’s easy to picture. You can readily recall, can’t you, how at one time the more you did just what you felt like doing–not caring about others, not caring about God–the worse your life became and the less freedom you had? And how much different is it now as you live in God’s freedom, your lives healed and expansive in holiness?
(Rom 6:17-19 MSG)
You are that “Right” person that God created IN Christ, a servant of Righteousness- to His divine will on thought, purpose, and action. You are Forgiven and Free. Best place to live, in Him!
We know in the natural, to overdose on medications is a very dangerous thing. You can take too much of a good thing ( medications) and it can begin to work in a negative way.
But I want to challenge you today to try and overdose on the word of God! Proverbs 4:22 speaks of Gods word being medicine for the FLESH. Psalm 107 talks about God sending His word and healing them. According to Isaiah 53:5-6 and 1st Peter 2:24, healing is a settled fact on Gods eyes! But you can sit back and say, ” it’s not for me.” That’s how you stay sick. Believing the word is how you ” pop the top” off the pill bottle, so to speak. It’s a continual injection through the eyes and ears, of the word of God. You cannot overdose on it. If you get enough of the word in you, long enough, it will heal your body! We have some great prescriptions for you to take. We offer a preloaded MP3 player that has all of season 1 of Christ the healer tv show audio,( 26 episodes) we have 11 teachings on the healing power of God and the 101 healing scriptures. We also offer a book, The daily dose, 31 days of healing devotional. And much more. Go to www.twoguysandabible.com.
